Both adults have been seen around the Cathedral a lot this winter. They really seem to be an old married couple.

The juveniles are now flying well which makes for a truly spectacular time in their development.

The chicks will soon be fledging and are already making an appearance on the nestbox roof. During June you can see amazing flying as the chicks learn from Mum and Dad.

The chicks have now hatched (the first on 23rd April, second -24th and 2 more on 25th April) and Dad is busy finding food to feed 4 hungry mouths (and Mum!!)

The male stands guard over his female who is sitting on eggs. He will chase off intruders, bring her food and take his turn on the eggs. Hatching should be 24th April.

The nestbox has been cleaned and the pair are very amorous. Lots to see with coming and going of both parties. The female as usual is bossing him around expecting him to bring her food at evey opportunity.
